Organization
The Eastern Oregon Center for Independent Living Web site is divided into three levels:
- Home page
- Level 1 pages
- Level 2 pages
Home Page
The EOCIL home page contains navigational text links to Level 1 pages in two places: decorative list-style links are on the left, with text links located at the bottom of the page.
All images are accompanied by Alt-text descriptions.
At the very top of the page are two links: one to this page (structural description and access instructions) and one to a page that provides instructions for checking the version of your present graphical browser and links for browser upgrades. Beneath these links is the EOCIL logo: the letters "E, O, C, I and L" set against a banner of disability access symbols. Centered below is an image map of Oregon: most of the state in gray, but the eight counties served by EOCIL are outlined in bright, contrasting color. Each county may be clicked to take the user to the part of the site that has information regarding that county.
Narrative follows, and text links to Level 1 pages follow all main page content.
Beneath the text links are accessibility validation, copyright and update statements, along with contact information.
Level 1 Pages
Each Level 1 page has decorative list-style links on the left side and text links at the bottom of the page. To the right of the major (h1) page head on each page is a map of the eight counties served by EOCIL. Each county has a "hotspot" link to that county's information elsewhere on the site. All hotspots, navigation buttons and graphical images include Alt-text descriptions. Text links and copyright and update statements are at the bottom of each page.
Level 2 Pages
Each Level 2 page includes a text link back to its primary reference page. Text links and copyright and update statements are at the bottom of each page.
